Starting as a photo that I shot at night of a neighbor's cactus in California, it became a painting, then a photo again, and now something that looks like fabric. If you look at my paintings gallery, you will see the acrylic painting that this was made from-Cactus Blossom.
I love that it reminds me of mini Ionic columns, perhaps on an entablature in ancient Greece, because they did paint some of their beautiful architectural elements in bright, bold colors. Just fun to imagine. But as always with the Woven Series, it looks a lot like fabric, an intricate weaving perhaps.

Might be kind of fun to have a print of the painting, Cactus Blossom and this hanging in the same room! Interesting idea!
