Artist's Description
I did this when what I had planned did not work out. So, I let myself just go with whatever happened. This is one of the first mixed media pieces I've ever done. The combination of the hard line industrial look with the feminine, antique looking floral paper pieces just set up an amazing push/pull, male/female, climate fighting-mankind overtaking the natural world or nature winning in the battle with industry, sort of dichotomy. I didn't expect to be making a social-political statement with this piece of art. It just happened.

Although I never liked art through high school, I "discovered" it in my early 20's and have never stopped creating since. Photography is my latest love, but I've been a painter for over 50 years.
