This photograph of Arianna was taken outdoors on my hammock in the backyard with the sunlight streaming through the maple trees. She had put on the fur coat from my husband's grandmother and I loved the way her hair and the coat looked together. Then the sun hit her face. I was done.

I've used this image as my Christmas card, with the title written on it.

My full name is Jodie Marie Anne Richardson Traugott. I use my initials jm-ART and/or my tattoo of a star as my signature. Although I never liked art through high school, I "discovered" it in my early 20's and have never stopped creating since. Photography is my latest love, but I've been a painter for over 50 years.
