Amedeo Modigliani did this portrait of Jeanne Hebuterne in a large hat in oil paint, in 1918. I tried to recreate it here in acrylic. I have always loved hats even though I never wear one. And I've always loved this painting, so I tried to learn something of his technique in this reproduction. Personally I love this image!
My full name is Jodie Marie Anne Richardson Traugott. I use my initials jm-ART and/or my tattoo of a star as my signature. Although I never liked art through high school, I "discovered" it in my early 20's and have never stopped creating since. Photography is my latest love, but I've been a painter for over 50 years.
