Artist's Description

This was one of the few professional models that I've used. I loved the all white outfit that she came in with and the peach scarf tied about her head. She also had turquoise loafers on, but even though I decided to leave those out of the painting, the colors were used. The painting started out to be a pretty painting, with as much light, pastel color as possible and a sweet, happy feeling, but as the three sessions wore on, I knew the painting was changing. It seemed that the more I heard about her life, her trials and tribulations seemed to start showing in her face. The background became darker, and so did the mood in general. The obvious suggestion of the title was to point out that while most people would be overjoyed with a pregnancy, this time, in this woman, the future was looking rather difficult and foreboding.

I can't stop painting and...
