Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Artist's Description

This was an interesting attempt at capturing Nana, as she got older but in a very particular style of painting with one type of brush stroke. Something very different for me as I usually include many types of strokes, as the shape of an object dictates or the mood I'm in insists! I must say that by the time I was almost done, I had a very hard time staying true to the stroke style! I cannot imagine what George Seurat felt when he was creating the 87x121 inch painting La Grande Jatte. That painting is in Chicago if you care to see it. I have to say that that giant canvas was the most impressive thing I had ever seen when my almost-husband took me to the Art Institute on a date. I couldn't imagine it then and I could certainly never imagine doing Pointillism now either.

About Jodie Marie Anne Richardson Traugott aka jm-ART

Jodie Marie Anne Richardson Traugott aka jm-ART

My full name is Jodie Marie Anne Richardson Traugott. I use my initials jm-ART and/or my tattoo of a star as my signature. Although I never liked art through high school, I "discovered" it in my early 20's and have never stopped creating since. Photography is my latest love, but I've been a painter for over 50 years. I consider myself a Renaissance woman with my hand in many disciplines and a love for all artistic ways and means. Because of that, my work is all over the map...in style, medium and intent. I look at that as a strength, not a weakness! I will show a variety of work, but one main focus of my art is my granddaughter, Arianna. She calls herself Nana and has become my muse and my obsession. I can't stop painting and...
