Alphonse Mucha was probably the first painter that I ever fell in love with. All of his work, I adore.
I have never tried to reproduce any of his work because I didn't believe I could do it justice. I came upon the idea to crop most of the original out, and just focus on the faces. Then perhaps I could create something that I'd be proud of. Well, I did. I love this face! And the abstracted flowers, with gold metallic accents makes me happy with the piece, even though it's not as pure Art Nouveau as the complete original artwork looks.

My full name is Jodie Marie Anne Richardson Traugott. I use my initials jm-ART and/or my tattoo of a star as my signature. Although I never liked art through high school, I "discovered" it in my early 20's and have never stopped creating since. Photography is my latest love, but I've been a painter for over 50 years.
